These guidelines or numbers for borrowing are for the whole Mitaka city library.
●Returning
- [Local library materials]
- You can return borrowed materials at any Mitaka City Public Library including the mobile library. You don’t need to show us your library card on returning. When you return Books/Magazines on an off day or after Library hours, please put them in the “Return Box” located at the side of Library (Don’t put the materials in the box while the library is open).
- [Audio-visual Materials and with Appendix]
- Please return CDs to the service counter of the Mitaka Ekimae and cassette and Records to that of Mitaka Library. Any materials with a label that states “カウンターへお返し下さい(Please bring to the service counter)”must be returned directly to the service counter as their appendix like CD-ROM are fragile. Don’t put them in the Return Box.
- [Interlibrary loaned materials]
- When you return interlibrary loaned materials, please return them to the service counter where you received them.
- If you are still borrowing materials which are overdue more than 2 weeks, you can’t borrow any more materials until you return them to the library. Please be sure to return borrowed materials by their due date.
●Renewal
Borrowed materials can be renewed only one time before their due date by user terminal like OPAC in the library or on the library website. Their due date will be extended to 2 weeks after you renewed if not reserved. However, please understand that it’s impossible to renew materials which have already been reserved by other user. Interlibrary loaned materials and audio-visual materials are also unrenewable.
●how to search the materials
